Spring in Spain, specifically in the region of Galicia, brings me to Santo Xusto, a tiny village that is the origin of my partner’s father, even though he has long since moved to the city. This land represents their roots and heritage, set to bloom again this year. The farm serves as a retreat—a place to slow down, cultivate vegetables, and maintain a sense of community. It mirrors much of rural Ireland, and the Celtic connection is palpable in the silence of ancestors long gone.
